Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases, enquiries, custom orders and bookings made with Wanderlost Engraved.

By placing an order or booking a service with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Us

Wanderlost Engraved is a small independent laser engraving business specialising in personalised gifts, photo engraving, wedding products, branded merchandise, custom awards and live engraving.

We operate from the UK and sell our products online, at events and through direct enquiries.

2. Personalised & Custom Orders

Many of our products are made specifically for you and are personalised using the information, photographs, logos or designs supplied by you.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all information supplied to us is correct before production begins, including:

  • Names and spellings

  • Dates

  • Personal messages

  • Logos

  • Photographs

  • Other personalised details

Once a personalised or custom order has entered production, changes may not be possible.

We cannot be held responsible for errors that are present in the information supplied by the customer and approved for production.

3. Photographs & Images

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have permission to use any photographs or images supplied to us for engraving.

We will only use photographs and images supplied to us for the purpose of fulfilling your order, unless we have separately received your permission to use them for promotional purposes.

Due to the nature of laser engraving, photographs may look different when engraved compared with the original digital image. Very dark, light, blurry or low-resolution photographs may produce different results.

Where appropriate, we may contact you to request a replacement photograph or discuss whether an image is suitable for engraving.

4. Logos, Artwork & Copyright

Customers must have permission to use any logos, artwork, graphics or other copyrighted material supplied to us.

By submitting artwork to Wanderlost Engraved, you confirm that you have the necessary rights or permission to have it reproduced.

We reserve the right to refuse an order where we have concerns regarding copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights.

5. Product Appearance

Laser engraving is a natural process and the final appearance can vary depending on the material, photograph, artwork and position of the engraving.

Small variations in colour, grain, texture, engraving depth and finish may occur.

Where natural materials such as slate or wood are used, variations, marks and imperfections are part of the natural character of the material and should not be considered defects.

Each personalised item is individually produced and may therefore have minor variations from photographs or examples shown on our website.

6. Orders & Payment

Orders are only confirmed once payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

For custom work or larger orders, we may require a deposit before production begins.

The remaining balance must be paid before the finished goods are dispatched or collected unless otherwise agreed.

Prices displayed on our website are subject to change, but any price already agreed for an order will be honoured.

7. Proofs & Design Approval

Where a design proof is provided, it is the customer's responsibility to check and approve the proof carefully.

Once a proof has been approved, production will proceed based on the approved design.

We cannot accept responsibility for errors that were present in an approved proof.

8. Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within the timeframe stated at the time of purchase or agreed with the customer.

Personalised and custom orders may require additional production time.

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by postal delays or circumstances outside our control.

Once an order has been dispatched, responsibility for delays caused by the delivery provider rests with the delivery provider. We will, however, assist customers in contacting the delivery service where appropriate.

Customers are responsible for providing a correct delivery address.

9. Collection

Where collection has been arranged, customers will be notified when their order is ready.

Orders should be collected within the agreed timeframe.

If an order is not collected within a reasonable period, we may contact you to arrange an alternative collection or delivery.

10. Returns & Cancellations

We want you to be happy with your purchase.

For standard, non-personalised products, you may have cancellation and return rights under UK consumer law.

However, personalised or bespoke products made specifically to your requirements may be exempt from the usual right to cancel once production has begun.
If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate cancellations where production has not yet started.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.

11. Faulty or Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged or you believe there is a fault with the product, please contact us as soon as possible with details of the issue and photographs where appropriate.

We will assess the issue and, where applicable, offer a repair, replacement, refund or other appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.

Damage caused by misuse, accidental damage or failure to follow care instructions may not be covered.

12. Product Care

Customers are responsible for following any care instructions supplied with their products.

For example, engraved slate products should be cleaned gently with warm soapy water and should not be cleaned using abrasive or wire pads.

Products should be used for their intended purpose.

13. Wedding & Event Bookings

For live engraving, wedding services and event bookings, a booking may require a deposit to secure the date.

The remaining balance and any agreed travel costs must be paid according to the payment schedule provided at the time of booking.

Travel charges, setup requirements, duration and any additional services will be agreed with the customer before the booking is confirmed.

If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, please contact us as soon as possible. Any refund of a deposit will be considered in accordance with the agreed booking terms and the work already undertaken.

14. Custom Awards & Bulk Orders

Custom awards, trophies, branded merchandise and bulk orders may require additional design and production time.

For larger orders, we may provide a quotation and/or design proof before production.

A deposit or full payment may be required before production begins.

Once production has started on a bespoke or personalised bulk order, cancellation may not be possible.

15. Discounts & Promotional Codes

Discount codes and promotional offers are subject to the individual terms of the promotion.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, discount codes:

  • Cannot be used in conjunction with another offer or promotion.

  • Cannot be applied retrospectively to previous orders.

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • May not be valid on bulk or wholesale orders.

  • May be subject to minimum order values or other restrictions.

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend promotional offers at any time.

16. Intellectual Property

All photographs, designs, branding, graphics, website content and original artwork created by Wanderlost Engraved remain the property of Wanderlost Engraved unless otherwise agreed.

You may not reproduce, copy, modify or commercially use our original designs without written permission.

17. Use of Finished Work for Promotion

Where appropriate, we may wish to photograph finished products for use on our website, social media or other marketing materials.

We will not use a customer's personal photograph or other identifiable personal information for promotional purposes without appropriate permission.

If you do not wish your finished product to be photographed or used for promotional purposes, please let us know when placing your order.

18. Website Information

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, prices, photographs and other information on our website are accurate.

Colours and appearance may vary depending on your screen and the natural characteristics of the materials used.

We reserve the right to correct errors or update information where necessary.

19. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be liable for delays or failure to fulfil an order or booking where this is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, postal delays, equipment failure, supplier issues, power failure or other unforeseen circumstances.

Where possible, we will contact you and work with you to find a suitable solution.

20. Privacy

Any personal information supplied to us will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We will only collect and use personal information where necessary to process your order, provide our services, communicate with you or meet our legal obligations.

21. Complaints

If you have a problem with your order or our service, please contact us directly so that we can try to resolve the issue.

We aim to deal with all complaints fairly and promptly.

22. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version in place at the time your order or booking is confirmed will generally apply to that order or booking.

23. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to your statutory consumer rights.

24. Contact Us

If you have any questions about these Terms & Conditions, an order or a booking, please contact Wanderlost Engraved through the contact details provided on our website.
